1 cup softened butter
1 cup vegetable oil
˝ cup granulated sugar
˝ cup brown sugar
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 ˝ tsp. salt
2 cups chopped pecans (+/-)

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

2. In large bowl, cream together butter, oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and confectioners’ sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt; stir into the butter mixture. Mix in the pecans. Roll dough into approx. 1” balls and roll each ball in granulated sugar. Place the cookies 2 “ apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.

3. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.
