Ingredients:
Ingredients:
One Chicken (I use the already cooked rotisserie ones, but you can boil a whole one if you like)
One bag of Reames frozen noodles (or make your own if you like! ….I don’t.. Reames are great!)
Carrots, celery, onion
Chicken broth
Water
Chicken bullion cubes
Salt and pepper

Directions:
Grandma Gray’s Chicken Noodle Soup…. (it’s from my grandma who didn’t use recipes… so we just dump…)

I use a large stock pot, and fill it about ½ full of water, then add 2 boxes of chicken broth. Then we pull apart the chicken and add all the meat to the pot.

Cut Carrots (as many as you like), celery about 2 or 3, and ½ of an onion, and put in pot with the chicken and water and broth. Put on high and boil, then lower temp. and cook until carrots start to soften a little.

Then put back up to boiling and put in one bag of the Reames frozen noodles…

This is the tricky part… I don’t want to over boil the noodles, or they get soggy… so you just have to watch it close , see instructions on bag too!! (it must be "my” grandma's recipe. I'm sure they stole it from her! Haha)

We then taste it and add 4-5 chicken bullion cubes. If you think it needs a little more flavor, add salt and pepper to taste…It's all in those noodles… yum…!!!

Stay warm this winter everyone! Merry Christmas, Laura

The Soup Ladies…… “Warming the world one bowl at a time!”

Years ago we met the Soup Lady, Momma, www.soupladies.org/ at her restaurant in Black Diamond. She and her crew are amazing. They serve the helpers out there. As the wife of a first responder, I was asked by Gayle to submit something to recognize this, during this pandemic time. This has been hard for me… not sure why…

So I decided to dedicate this recipe to the soup ladies. They help us all feel a little better as the front line helpers keep on helping….. For that I am thankful…

And when I asked Bob .. what should I write?, what recipe would you submit?.. he just happened to choose…..My grandma's chicken noodle soup! So it’s a win win…

So….Soup it is.. for us ALL…. as we help others, hear hard stories, and see people in pain… then be blessed enough to get to go home to a warm cup of soup.
