Ingredients:  
1/2 C butter
1/2 C brown sugar
1/3 C peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla

1 egg

1 C flour
1 C Old-fashioned rolled oats

1/2 C peanut butter crunchy or smooth

Choc Frosting:
1/2 C butter, room temperature
2 T milk
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 C cocoa
powdered sugar




Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

In mixer, cream butter and sugars
Add peanut butter
Add egg and vanilla

In separate bowl, combine flour, oats, salt and soda

Add to creamed mixture

Spread onto ungreased cookie sheet
Bake 15-20 min until browned slightly

Cool slightly

Spread peanut butter on top

Cool completely

Frosting:
Combine butter and milk
Add vanilla, salt and cocoa
Add enough powdered sugar to make spreadable frosting. Mix until fluffy
Frost peanut butter fingers and cut in skinny rectangles, hence "fingers"

The only regular job I remember my mom ever having was as a lunch lady at AF Jr. High. They made the most amazing pb fingers and I asked her to get the recipe for me. She did!
