1 1/2 cup raisins
1 1/2 cup water
2 cup of flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp of baking powder
1/2 tsp of salt
1 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup of shortening
1 cup sugar

Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
Milk as needed

Directions:
Directions:
Cook raisins with the water for 10 minutes or until 1 cup of liquid remains. Set aside

Cream sugar and shortening. Add the egg, raisins and vanilla.

Add cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cloves. Mix together

Add flour and mix well. Pour into a cookie sheet and make at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes.

When slightly cooled take one cup of powdered sugar and add enough milk to make it pourable and pour over squares. Spread evenly over cookies
