2 Packages of Yeast
1 Cup of warm Water
1 Cup of warm Milk
½ Cup of Shortening
¾ Cup of Sugar
1½ Teaspoons of Salt
2 Eggs
2 Teaspoons of Vanilla
7 Cups of Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water. Stir in milk, sugar, shortening, salt, eggs, and vanilla. Gradually add flour. Knead till smooth and place in greased bowl to rise until double. Roll into a rectangle. Spread with ½ pound of softened butter and then sugar mixture of 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of brown sugar, and 3 teaspoons of cinnamon. Roll tightly. Cut 1” thick. Place in baking pan and let rise for 1 hour. Bake for 30 minutes at 350º. Glaze with mixture of confectioners sugar, milk, and vanilla.

The only time I ate school lunch was on chili day because we had these cinnamon rolls too. The cafeteria lady lived down the road from us and gave me the recipe. I make these often and they are always delicious.
