Bottom:
⅔ to 1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. hot water
2½ to 3 c. fruit
2 tsp. butter
½ tsp. cinnamon

Top:
1 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
3 tbsp. shortening
½ c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Bottom: Put Fruit in 8X8 pan. Mix sugar and cornstarch in saucepan. Stir in water.
Bring to boil. Boil about 1 minute until begins to thicken. Pour over fruit.

Top: :Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt. shortening and milk together. Stir just until
mixed. Put by spoonful's on top of fruit.

Bake at 400º for 30 minutes or until crust is light brown.
