Steak and Gravy Recipe

3-4# boneless round steak
2 packs dried onion soup mix
1 tsp garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
2 10 oz cans cream of mushroom
1/2 to 3/4 cup water
1 large onion, chopped
2 T flour

Cut steak into single servings.
Place in crock pot and sprinkle every other layer with garlic powder and pepper.
When 1/2 the meat is in crock pot, add 1 can of soup and 1 pack of soup mix.
Continue with meat layers and then soup and soup mix on top.
Top with water.
Cook on low 6-8 hours.
Remove meat and make flour gravy.
Add flour to sauce pan with 1 cup broth from crockpot until mixed well.
Stir in flour mixture and let cook until thick (about 4 minutes).
Return meat to pot.
