½ cup butter
1 egg yolk (save whites)
¾ cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup nuts
1 cup brown sugar
Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter, add sugar and egg yolks and add remaining ingredients. Spread in greased cake pan and pat down.
2.Beat in separate pan, the eggs whites until foamy. Add 1 tsp vanilla, 1 cup brown sugar and 1 cup dates (optional) and spread on top of cookie dough.
3. Bake 25 minutes at 350ºF
