Place in a saucepan over low heat
2 cups of sugar
1/2 cup white corn syrup
1/2 cup water

Stir until sugar is dissolved: then cook with stirring to 252 degrees (A little dropped into cold water forms a hard ball). Remove from heat and pour, beating constantly, in a fine stream into.....

2 egg whites, stiffly beaten, (I use my electric mixer)

Continue beating until mixture holds its shape and loses its gloss.

Add.....
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup broken nuts

Drop quickly from the tip of a spoon on waxed paper in individual peaks.
