1 t vanilla, clear
1 t light karo
¼ t salt
¾ c Crisco or butter
¼ c water (use only 2 T if making for roses)
1 lb powdered sugar (sift if lumpy)

Cream the first 5 ingredients on low. Blend in sugar slowly. Should take 5 minutes. Use #1 setting on mixer – never higher (if making roses because you do not want to incorporate air).

Momma decorated some amazing cakes back in the day. She was so very talented. Not only were they beautiful but they were delicious as well. We were very lucky to be blessed with her talents.
