2 TB Butter
1 cup Uncooked White Rice
¼ cup Minced Onion
⅓ cup Minced Celery
2 ¼ cup Chicken Broth
2 TB Parsely
¼ cup Slivered Almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Melt Butter in hot frying pan. Add onion and celery saute' until onion tender. Add rice and saute' until slightly brown. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Cover and lower heat to simmer until moisture has been absorbed and rice is tender. This takes about 15 minutes. Add parsley and almonds just before serving. Toss lightly.

In my childhood, my mother never bought a box of rice to make Pilaf. You can change to Beef broth if you want a different flavor. So much cheaper than the box, and tastes better.
