Directions:
In a 6-quart pan bring the 1 cup water to a boil with 2 sticks butter. Boil until butter is melted. On low heat, add sugar and salt. Remove from heat. Add the 1 cup cold water. Set aside to cool. Dissolve yeast in the 1/2 cup warm water (not hot) and 1/2 tsp. sugar. When the first mixture is lukewarm, add yeast mixture and beaten eggs. Stir briefly. Add flour and stir together. Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. When ready to roll out, divide the dough into thirds. Lightly flour the surface of the breadboard. Roll each third out in a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Spread dough lightly with butter. Cut into wedges and roll each up. Place on a greased baking sheet. Let rise for 3-4 hours. Bake 400 degrees for 8 minutes.
