3/4 cup golden brown sugar

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2 whole eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions:
1.Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

2.Cream the butter, then add both sugars and cream until fluffy. Add the eggs and beat slightly, then add the vanilla and beat until combined. Add the malted milk powder and beat until combined.

3.In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. Add to the butter mixture, beating gently until just combined. Add the chocolate chips and stir in gently.

4.Drop by heaping double tablespoonful (or use a cookie scoop) on an ungreased baking sheet, leaving plenty of space between the cookies (they spread out quite a bit). Bake for 9 to 11 minutes. The cookies will be very flat and very chewy. Allow to cool slightly before removing from pan with a spatula.

Personal Notes:
This recipe or some variation has been a holiday (or every week) favorite for a long time in our family. They'll stay chewy for up to a week and will be hard to pass one by. Make sure you go big on the the double tablespoon per cookie as no wimpy little cookies are allowed here. The cookies should flatten out to be about 3" in diameter so make sure you spread them on the cookie sheet so you don't have one of those cookie cakes you can buy at the mall.
