1 1/2 lbs. chicken breast
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 cup of jarred pesto
1/4 cup salted butter
1/2 lemon

(these item will not be used till the end)
1 lb rotini pasta cooked and drained
1/2 cup parmesan
2 cups of mozzarella cheese
1/4 tsp. dried basil to garnish

Directions:
Directions:
Add the defrosted chicken to the crockpot. Sprinkle the salt and pepper. Spread the pesto and squeeze the lemon juice over the chicken. Cut butter into slices and lay over chicken. Cook and cover on low for 5 hours. Near the end of the cooking time, cook the pasta according to the package and drain. Shred the chicken with 2 forks. Add the cooked pasta and parmesan cheese and stir everything until the pasta is covered with the sauce and chicken. Add the mozzarella cheese over pasta and cover it for another 10 minutes in the crockpot or until cheese is melted.
