9 cups water
2 cups Heinz vinegar
¼ to ½ cup salt
Fresh dill (2 or 3 sprigs per jar)
Whole garlic cloves peeled (1 for each jar)
Chilli pepper (optional, 1 per jar)

Pack carrots, dill and a garlic clove in sterilized jars. Filled with hot brine to overflowing and seal.
