Sift or mix 1 1/2 c. flour, 3 tbsp. cocoa, 1 c. sugar, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. salt into a glass or metal baking dish. (10 x 6 is a good size). Make three impressions in the mixture. Into one put 1 tsp. vinegar, another put 1 tsp. vanilla, into the last put 5 tbsp. vegetable oil. Over all pour 1 cup cold water. Mix in pan until blended and bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes. Serve warm from the pan with ice cream.
