"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I got this recipe from my very first cookbook Mom got me over 40 years ago. I think it started my love of cookbooks. Like my Mom I can sit for hours just looking through cookbooks. I used to make this cookie every year for Christmas and add green food coloring into the creamed mixture to pipe out Christmas trees. I would then dunk the tops of them in icing and top with sprinkles. Not sure why I stopped they make a pretty tasty and pretty additional to the Christmas cookie plate. think I might dust off my cookie press and make them this year.

Powdered Sugar Icing:
Add light cream or milk to 2 cups of powdered sugar to make dipping consistency. Add 1 tsp. vanilla.
