2 1/2 cups blackberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together berries and sugar in a large bowl. Let it sit for 25 to 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Stir together flour, baking powder, and milk.
Next stir in melted butter. Hand . mix until ingredients are well incorporated. You may have a few lumps.

Using a 9 x 13 or medium baking dish ( you may line it with parchment paper but don't grease it), pour the batter into the pan and smooth it out.

Finally, pour the blackberry and sugar mixture on top and distribute evenly over the batter.
Bake 45 minutes to an hour until golden. Let cool
