A McIntosh Family Tradition!

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Grandma Mc wrote this out for me (I added the Chex)

Preheat oven to 250º Time 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Stir every 20 minutes

The Cereals Combo: You will need: 2 cups of Honey Nut Cheerios, 2 cups Chex, 2 cups of Golden Grahams Cereal, 2 cups of Life Cereal, 1 cup of Shreddies. Then, 2 cups of mixed nuts (they are cheaper at Costco than anywhere else), 1 medium-sized bag of pretzels

The Special Sauce: You will need, at least 1 cup of melted butter (or maybe a little more, just as long as all cereals are coated). If not all coated, add a 1/2 cup more. Add about 10 shakes of Worchester, 1 tsp of garlic salt, 1 tsp. onion powder and a couple of shakes Tabasco and pour over the Nuts and Bolts. Grandma's secret was to add brown sugar, however this is optional. If you do, add only 2 tbsp. and mix in butter to start.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the cereals and nuts together and put into a good sized roasting pan. Pour the special sauce over it, mix up and pop into the oven. When the nuts and bolts are ready, they will crisp up as they cool down.

Enjoy!

Make it your own! You've got the basic classic recipe, however feel free to add a little brown sugar like Grandma Mc used to or not. Hmmmm, how about some bugles or cheesies?
