Okay, you all have wondered if Dad can cook as well as Mom? Here is the best thing he knows how to cook. Almost the only thing he can cook: SPAM. Now I know some people don't consider Spam to be an edible food. But if the truth be known, I like the stuff. Its such a versatile food. Can even be used as a doorstop. How many foods can you say that about?

The secret to really cooking Spam well is to slice it thin enough to read through. The closer you get to that goal, the better it will be. Secondly, remember that Spam is something like 75% fat, so you don't need to oil the pan. Okay, Spam people, do not write me, don't try to sue me, I was only kidding. Haven't you ever heard of poetic license? Cook the Spam over a medium or medium-high heat. Don't try to cook it really fast over a high heat. What you will get will be burnt on the outside and raw on the inside.

Heat up the beans and lightly toast the bread.

Spread the beans on the bread and add the Spam. If you want to add a slice of cheese and broil the whole thing...that is delicious also. And you can substitute bacon for Spam. This is Dad's best dish.
