6 cups oatmeal
1 cup butter melted
1½ c B. sugar
4½ tsp vanilla
¾ cup corn syrup
1 pkg butterscotch chips
¾ cup chunk style peanut butter


Directions:
Directions:
Mix oatmeal butter sugar vanilla and syrup together.
Spread in ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 15 min at 375 degrees.
Cool
Melt butterscotch chips and peanut butter together and spread on cooled bars.

I copied this from a newspaper 40 years ago and never tried it. [1980]
When doing the family cookbook I thought I better try it before putting it in.

Everyone liked the bars.

I think I would bake it a little longer so the bottom layer stays together better.
