¼ lb bacon, cut into pieces
1 small onion, cut in half and sliced into strips
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 c chicken broth
1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
1 lb red potatoes, cut into chunks
Salt & pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Place bacon pieces in a large saucepan and cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until browned but don't get too crispy. Remove bacon to bowl. Keep bacon fat in the pan.

Stir onion into saucepan; cook and stir until browned, about 10 minutes. Stir garlic into onions and cook until softened, 1-2 minutes.

Add chicken broth, green beans and bacon. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer about 1 hour, or until green beans are tender.

Add potatoes and season with salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for about 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
