1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 ˝ cups shortening
2 eggs
4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
˝ tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
Hershey kisses, unwrapped

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugars, shortening, and peanut butter. Stir in eggs. Sift together dry ingredients. Work together until thoroughly blended. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and roll in granulated sugar to coat. Place balls on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 9-10 minutes, until they spread out and just begin to brown. Remove cookies from the oven and press a Hershey’s kiss gently into the center of each cookie. Return to oven and bake for another 2 to 5 minutes. Allow cookies to cook for 5-10 minutes before removing them from the cookie sheet. Make 3 dozens.
