One 15 oz. can tomato sauce - we use Cento San Marzano tomatoes
1 cup chicken stock (We use Watkins chicken soup base)
½ cup lightly packed dark brown brown sugar
¼ cup vinegar, or your favorite vinegar
¼ balsamic vinegar
1 T Chef Paul's Magic Pepper Sauce or other medium-hot pepper sauce
1 T Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp bottled liquid smoke flavoring

Seasoning Mix

1¼ tsp onion powder
1¼ ground dried ancho chile peppers
1¼ salt
¾ tsp garlic powder
¾ tsp dry mustard
¾ tsp dried thyme leaves
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp white pepper

Directions:
Combine seasonings in a small bowl. In a 12 in skillet over high heat, combine seasonings and the remaining ingredients. Bring just to a boil, whisking constantly, then reduce the heat to medium and simmer briskly, whisking every 1-2 min until sauce thickens and resembles ketchup, about 20-25 min. Remove from heat & serve warm over Slow Roasted Baby Back Ribs or with poultry. Refrigerate leftovers.
