Italian Style Venison Chops Recipe

4 to 6 venison chops
1 cup chianti wine
1 tbsp oregano
water
1 bay leave
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp cooking oil

Directions:
Directions:
Trim all fat from the chops. Brown chops in hot oil along with garlic (garlic may be sliced or left whole). In same pan add bay leaf, oregano, and wine. Add enough water to cover chops. Simmer covered until tender one and half to 2 hours.

This is great in a crockpot.
Deer steak can be substituted for chops.
