Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is my Grandma's homemade ice cream that we enjoyed every 4th of July growing up. My grandmother, Pearle Umber Winkler died 5 months before I was born. This is one of the ways that I can feel connected to her. I changed the recipe to only have egg yolks. One year I made this for my family to enjoy and put 4 whole eggs. When Kyle was eating from his bowl, a slimy glop of egg white was hanging from his lip down to his chin! Needless to say, we are wary about making homemade ice cream with raw eggs now.
