2 cups sugar
1 cup oil
4 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
3 cups flour
1 cup buttermilk
2 tsp coconut flavoring
1 cup chopped black walnuts
1 cup coconut

Syrup:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp coconut flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, oil and eggs. Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Stir in nuts, coconut, and flavoring. Pour into a well greased and floured tube pan and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour 5 minutes.
Syrup: Bring to boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in coconut flavoring.
Pour the hot syrup over the hot cake and let stand in pan for 4 hours. Keep in an airtight container.
