Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb of Filo dough
1 lb of walnuts chopped
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup of sugar
1 lb of butter melted

Syrup:
1 1/2 cups of water
2 cups of sugar
Few cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
Rind of orange
1/2 tsp lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
In a buttered 9x13 pan place filo sheets over one another buttering each one. You can let the filo overlap the sides of the pan. Continue to do this for about 8-10 layers. Mix your filling - walnuts, sugar, and cinnamon. Sprinkle that mixture on top of the buttered filo. Add another sheet of filo, then butter, and add the filling doing this three times until your filling is gone. Make sure you leave 8-10 filo sheets for the top layer. Once your filling is gone, place the remaining sheets of filo one at a time, buttering each one in between. Take the sides that were left over the sides of the pan, and fold them towards the middle. Finally, butter the top and sides of the entire pan. Using a long sharp knife, cut diagonally into diamond-shaped pieces. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until golden brown.

Syrup:

Mix syrup ingredients together in a pot, and boil on the stove for about 25 minutes. Let it completely cool.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
The cooled syrup is to be poured over hot baklava immediately after coming out of the oven. This process is so the syrup is soaked up by the hot baklava. Therefore - one item must be cool (syrup) and one must be hot (baklava).
