2 lbs ground beef
1 medium onion (finely chopped)
1 green bell pepper (finely chopped)
2 cans (15 oz each) tomato sauce
2 cans (12 oz each) tomato paste
2 envelopes (1 1/2oz each) spaghetti sauce mix
1 small can mushroom or 1/2 cup fresh mushroom(optional)
3 cups water
2 tbsp sugar (or to taste)
1 tsp oregano
2 cloves garlic (crushed and diced)

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat and drain well. Add onions and bell pepper. Cook until tender, Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer slowly for about 1 1/2 hours.
When possible I like to use the tomato sauce with bits of vegetables instead of the plain tomato sauce.
