1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2¼ cup sifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1½ cups plain M&Ms

Directions:
Directions:
Blend shortening and sugars together then beat in vanilla and eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add to wet mixture. Mix well then stir in ½ of the M&Ms reserving the rest to decorate the top of the cookies.

Drop by tsp on ungreased cookie sheet. Decorate the top of cookie with M&Ms. Bake at 375º for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.

Cookies freeze really well and can be frozen on a cookie sheet and then place in plastic baggies or Tupperware container for later. You can microwave for a few seconds and its just like fresh out of the oven!
