4 cups warm water
4 yeast pkg
4 tsp salt
8 Tbsp sugar
4 Tbsp melted shortening
7-8 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in one cup of warm water. Mix the rest of the ingredients together and add yeast to create a soft but not sticky dough. Cut into four pieces and let stand 15 minutes.

Knead each piece of dough for one minute and then form into a loaf and put each loaf in a greased bread pan; let rise for 30 minutes. Bake at 400º for 30 minutes

**This was moms go to bread that we grew up eating as toast, PBJ or bologna sandwiches.
