Personal Notes:
In college, I took a bartending class at the community college. I probably learned more valuable life information there than in engineering school.
Ice cream drinks were very popular at the time, and why I went to the class. What I learned was this, cocktails are in families. You have Martini/Manhattan-straight booze. Margarita/Whiskey Sour-booze and sour mix, with other stuff. Collins-make a whiskey sour with gin and add some club soda, poof, you have a Tom Collins. Finally, the shot and pop. Good old gin and tonic, rum and coke, vodka and soda(when you need a diet drink).
