3 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups oil
3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups chopped apples
1 1/2 cups chopped nuts

Topping:
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together eggs, sugar and oil. Cream together well. Then sift flour, salt and baking soda. Once sifted add to egg and sugar mixture. Mix well. Then stir in vanilla, chopped apples and nuts. Bake the cake at 350 degrees for 1 hour in a 9x13 inch cake pan.
Leave cake in pan and add the icing while still warm.
Topping:
Cook together brown sugar, butter and milk. Boil for 2 1/2 minutes. Pour over cake and let stand for 2 hours before removing from pan.
