½ c. Sorghum
2 eggs lightly beaten
½ c. margarine
1½ c. sugar
½ c. shortening
4 c. flour
½ tsp. salt
2¼ tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. ground ginger
1½ tsp. ground cloves
1½ tsp. ground cinnamon

Directions:

Cream margarine, shortening and sugar. Beat in sorgham and eggs - set mixture aside. In another large bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, ginger, cloves and cinnamon. Blend thoroughly with wire whisk.Gradually mix flour mixture into creamed ingredients. Roll dough into 1½" balls. Dip tops in granulated sugar. Place 2½" apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 11 minutes. Cool.
