5 C. sliced potatoes
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
16 oz. sauerkraut, drained
1 C. cream of chicken soup
1 C. cream of mushroom soup

Directions:
Directions:
Butter a 9 x 13" baking dish. Arrange potatoes in prepared dish. Place beef and onion in large skillet; cook; cook until beef is no longer red and onion is transparent, stirring to break up beef. Drain. Spoon beef and onion over potatoes; sprinkle with salt. Arrange sauerkraut on top. Combine soups and 1/2 cup of water in a small bowl; blend well. Spread over casserole. Bake, uncovered, 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until potatoes are tender.
