2c butter
1c sugar
1c brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
4 1/2 c flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp soda
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients. Fill cookie press. Form cookies on uncreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375º for 10-12 min. Remove at once.

For cut out cookies: Chill at least 3 hrs, then roll, cut and bake.
