Popcorn kernels - enough to make a thick layer covering the bottom of the pot
Butter - be generous!
Salt to taste

Add all the ingredients to a heavy-bottomed pot with a tight-fitting lid.

Place over hot campfire coals and shake once you hear the corn popping.

Popcorn! I think I could almost live on popcorn alone! I make it at home in a hot air popper but I think the best popcorn is made in a pot.

We have enjoyed pot popped corn at "the cabin" in the old days. Bill always made it just right!

Stephanie makes popcorn in a pot on the stove - I love it when she brings out a big bowl when I'm visiting there!

Now, with Kris' campfire method, I can have popcorn anywhere!!!!!
