2 lbs. Yukon gold potatoes
1 tsp salt in large pot of cold water
1 Cup hot whole milk or half and half
1/2 stick cold butter, cut into chunks
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and cut potatoes and place in pot of salted cold water. Bring to a boil and cook 20 mins. until potatoes are tender. Drain. Add butter, salt and pepper to taste and hot milk. Mash potatoes with potato masher until blended to your liking...chunky or smooth. Use electric mixer for super blended. Season with garlic and parsley, add a dab of butter and have your meat and gravy ready.

I remember watching my Uncle Joe Bouffiou mashing enough potatoes for an Army for Christmas dinner at his house. I thought I needed to find a guy like my Uncle Joe. And guess what...Rick is our King Potato Masher. And I love leftover fried mashed potato patties with overeasy eggs and bacon the next morning.
