⅓ c. of shortening
1⅓ c. of sugar
1 egg
1 c. of applesauce
1⅔ cup of flour
1 tsp. of baking soda
1 tsp. of salt
½ tsp. of cinnamon
⅓ tsp. of cloves
⅓ tsp. of allspice
⅓ c. of water
Handful of raisins

Directions:
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl and mix all wet ingredients in a separate bowl, but add applesauce after egg is mixed in. Combine all ingredients together and pour into an 8x8 pan. Bake at 350º for 35-40 minutes.
