1½ T Gelatin
½ C Cold milk
3 Egg yolks
⅓ C Sugar
⅛ tsp salt
1 C Scalded milk
1 Package frozen strawberries in juice (Birds Eye) defrosted, drained and reserve juice
½ C Drained strawberry juice
1 T Vanilla
½ Pint Cream (whipped)

Directions:

Soak gelatin in cold milk for 5 minutes.

Beat yolks, sugar and salt together until light. Add scalded milk and strawberry juice and beat thoroughly. Cook in double boiler with water on the bottom, stirring constantly until mixture coats a metal spoon.

Add cold milk/gelatin mixture and stir until dissolved. Set double boiler pot in pan of cold water and stir until it begins to thicken. Add vanilla and strawberries and fold in whipped cream.

Spoon into single serving cups and chill until firm.
