c butter
1 c sugar
2 t vanilla
1 egg
1 c flour
t salt
t baking soda
c nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 deg F.

Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla and egg and beat until blended. Add dry ingredients and nuts to sugar mixture. Sir well and shape into long rolls. Chill several hours, days, or weeks. Slice inch thick and bake on ungreased baking sheet for 7 minutes.
