Small head of green cabbage, finely shredded

Dressing:
⅓ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup white vinegar
½ cup canola oil
1 tsp. salt
Pinch of black pepper

Directions:

Combine dressing ingredients and stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour over the cabbage. Cover and refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight so cabbage softens in the dressing.
