2 sq. Baker's unsweetened chocolate
2 1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. sugar
6 Tbsp flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
2 Tbsp butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 - 9" pie shell (baked)
3 egg whites
6 Tbsp. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Add chocolate to milk; heat in a double boiler or microwave.
When chocolate is melted, beat with rotary beater to blend.
Combine 3/4 cup sugar, 6 Tbsp flour, and 1/2 tsp. salt.
Add gradually to chocolate mixture and cook and stir until thickened.
Then cook 10 minutes stirring frequently.
Pour small amount over egg yolks, stir vigorously.
Return to mixture and cook and stir 2 minutes longer.
Add butter and vanilla.
Cool, pour into pie shell.
Beat egg whites until foamy throughout.
Add 6 Tbsp. sugar, 2 Tbsp. at a time, beating after each addition until sugar is blended.
Continue beating until mixture will stand in peaks.
Pile lightly on filling.
Bake at 350º for 15 minutes or until meringue is a delicate golden brown.
