1 pkt active dry yeast
¼ cup warm water
1 cup creamed cottage cheese, heated to lukewarm
2 Tbs sugar
1 egg
1 Tbs dried minced onion
1 Tbs butter
2 tsp dill seed
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp baking soda
2¼-2½ cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Soften yeast in water.
Combine in mixing bowl cottage cheese, sugar, onion, butter, dill seed, salt, soda and egg. Mix in yeast. Add flour to form stiff dough, beating well after each addition.

Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled in size. (About 1 hour)
Punch down down-let rest for 10 min.
Turn dough into a well greased 8” round casserole dish. Let rise for 2nd time in warm place (about 40 min or so)
Bake 350º for 40-50 minutes until golden.
Brush with soft butter and sprinkle with salt.

Either use a KitchenAid mixer OR...for the first addition of flour use hand mixer then stir in flour by hand after.
