2 C sifted AP flour
1 C sugar
1½ tsp of baking powder
½ tsp of baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/4 C butter or margarine
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp grated orange peel
3/4 C of Orange juice
1½ Cups of light raisins
1½ Cups fresh or frozen cranberries, chopped

Optional:I used 3/4 cup chopped nuts and 3/4 cup raisins.

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, sugar baking powder, salt and baking soda into a large bowl.
Cut in the butter until mixture is crumbly. Add egg, orange peel and orange juice all at once and stir just until mixture is evenly moist. Fold in raisins (and nuts) and cranberries into a greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350º for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from pan, Cool on a wire rack. If you choose, you may substitute cranberries for raisins for an all cranberry bread.
