2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. white sugar
2 t. salt
3 t. vanilla
12 oz. chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 t. baking soda
5 eggs
5 c. unsifted flour
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, stir well. Add dry ingredients and chocolate chips. *If you like chewy cookies stir all ingredients by hand. A mixer will change the texture. Bake at 350ºF for 8-10 minutes.until just starting to brown. Bake longer for crisper cookies.
