1 cup onion, chopped
1 cup celery, finely diced
2 cups potatoes, finely diced
2 cans (6 oz.) minced clams and juice
¾ cup margarine
¾ cup flour
1 quart half and half cream
1 ½ tsp. salt
Pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Drain juice from clams and pour over vegetables in a very small saucepan; add enough water to barely cover and simmer. Cook at medium heat until barely tender. Meantime, melt butter and flour and blend and cook while stirring constantly. Add cream, vegetables, clams, and heat thoroughly. Season to taste. The longer and slower it cooks the better.
