1-1 1/2 lb. gr. beef
23 oz. jar of original Ragu or Prego spaghetti sauce
6 oz. can tomato paste
6-9 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
15 oz. container small curd cottage
cheese or ricotta cheese
2 1/2 c sh. mozzarella cheese
grated parmesan cheese for top

Directions:

Brown gr. beef (90%-93% lean) in large skillet.
Stir in sauce and tomato paste; heat through.
Layer 9x13" or 7x11" pan or bowl with three cooked noodles.
Spoon meat sauce over noodles.
Spoon cottage cheese (or ricotta) over.
Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Repeat layers one or two more times.
Top with grated parmesan cheese.
Bake, covered, 30 min. at 375 F.
Uncover, bake an additional 10-15 min.
Let set 5 min. before cutting and lifting out with pancake turner.
I make my own sauce with tomatoes from the garden and freeze in meal-size containers. I don't know how to measure sauce to tell you how much. This recipe is similar to the way I make lasagna.
