1 can condensed milk (14 oz)
4 egg yolks
1/2 cup lime juice
4 egg whites
6 Tbs sugar
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
baked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Pre bake pie shell according to directions on package. Mix condensed milk, 4 egg yolks and lime juice together. Beat 1 egg white stiff. Fold into above mixture. Put mixture into pie shell. Beat 3 egg whiles and gradually add sugar and Cream of Tartar. Put onto top of pie mixture- spread to edges of shell. Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown

Aunt Jeanne spend much of her life in the south. I am assuming one of her Florida friends shared this Key Lime Pie recipe with her. Make sure to spread meringue so no pie filling shows.
