½ pound butter
3 cups sugar
8 eggs
3 tbsp. lemon peel
8 cups flour
3 ½ tbsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. salt
3 cups milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs to the creamed mixture. Add to the dry ingredients, alternate with milk. Put into greased loaf pans. Makes three loaves. Bake for 50-55 minutes at 350 degrees. When done, take out of the pan and brush with glaze.

Lemon Bread Glaze
2 ½ tbsp. lemon juice
8 tbsp. powdered or granulated sugar
